If you haven't heard about J. Crew's plus size line with Universal Standard, here's a recap. The line goes from a size XXS-5X (yes! love the extended sizing). The line contained 37 pieces and when I heard about it I was pretty excited to see what the line would consist of.
So I want to start off by saying, when you are introducing a new size range within your brand it needs to be good! People are anticipating and anxious to see what you have for them, so if you're gonna do fashion and have your brand cater to a wide variety of sizes, DO IT RIGHT. Take the time and research needed to get this shit right. Because this...was a HUGE disappointment.
Go to J. Crew's social media accounts and you will see how people are reacting to this new line, myself included. The clothing that was showed on promo ads/videos didn't make me want to buy anything. There was nothing that contoured to the body if anything it looked like an over-sized dress on the model. . I admit some of their everyday basic items are ok, but they are what we already have out.
