I am always looking for a good swimsuit....ALWAYS! Last weekend I needed a swimsuit ASAP for a last minute trip to Wisconsin, Dells. I had less than 24hrs to find one so I stopped by my local Torrid and boy am I glad I did. They had swimsuits on clearance PLUS buy 1 get 2 FREE. You cannot beat that.
When shopping for a swimsuit I want to make sure my midsection looks appealing and that my breasts are fully covered (no top or side spillage). I tried on a couple and fell in love with this black and white swimsuit. It looked great on and I love the back as well, I hate a sexy front and boring basic back. With my swimsuit I had the option to wear it in different ways because it was a multi-strap swimsuit.
Also when it comes to swimsuit shopping:
- Try on! Try on! Try on! You need to be in that fitting room and try on as many styles and options to get an idea of what you like and what looks good on you.
- Money is another thing to think about because when it comes to swimsuits catering to plus size women, you get what you pay for. Some swimsuits have tummy control, some cater to big breasts, etc. So make sure to set aside money because this is a good investment that will last all summer and future summers. Also, shop on sale days, Torrid and Swimsuits For All, always have sales going on. Even I bought my swimsuit on clearance and received 2 other swimsuits for free!
- Make sure it's something you feel comfortable in, which is why I am big on trying on before buying. Just because you wear a 2x in clothing does not mean you will wear that in a swimsuit.
We have tons of options to choose from, so go out there feeling confident that you will find a swimsuit that makes you feel and look confident!
